Two and a half year old girl molested by a 65 year old man in Gomtipur

AHMEDABAD: A two and a half year old girl was allegedly molested and traumatized by a 65 year old Ahmedhussain Pathan, a resident of Gomtipur on Sunday evening. Girl’s parents alleged that as the girl, who addresses the accused as “Dada” complaint to her mother about the misdeeds of Ahmedhussain. On checking girl’s mother found traces of semen on clothes of little girl.
Meanwhile as the girl’s mother raised an alarm, locals gathered on the spot- caught Ahmedhussain and thrashed him. A Local resident Sarfaraz Ansari told TOI that they then handed over the accused to Gomitpur police station.
Inspector of Gomtipur Police station AR Jankat said they have booked Ahmedhussain for molestation and applied stringent sections of POCSO. “We have formally arrested the accused and are also verifying his antecedents, as locals allege that he has been involved in such acts earlier too” added Jankat.
According to police sources, the accused took the girl along with him to his house which is located just opposite that of the girl and molested her sexually.
“On knowing that her daughter was sexually molested by the Ahmedhussain, her mother called up the girl’s father who runs a garment factory rushed home and then lodged a complaint with us” said a police source.
Ansari added that Ahmedhussain lives with his family in the same area where the victim stays. “There are talks going around that Ahmedhussain had molested a minor earlier too but at that time the girl’s family did not come forward to register a complaint.
